I recently purchased Enphase PowerPack product and use it for urgent needs around the home. It comes in very handy for places where 120V outlets aren’t easily accessible like backyard lighting or using on a camping trip or a farm. The ports for charging mobile phones and laptops is really cool. Cherry on the top is this really cool App that shows the data of the device in real time and controls to the device remotely. Love the App!! Brilliant
When anything causes your WiFi to shut off, the solar panels stop working. Unless you monitor the solar panels every day, there’s no warning that they’re off. Nobody explained any of this before or after we bought it. Once we knew we needed the App, it automatically connected to someone else’s system. Reconnecting the gateway to your WiFi is not as simple as they say. I would’ve never bought this solar system if I knew it was this unreliable and complicated. It’s been a gigantic financial loss.

Don’t like it at all the old version much simpler and more in formative! Where is my live view? I want to see my consumption!
My gateway keeps disconnecting from network. I always have to either call service or re-connect it myself. Not satisfied.
I am not sure if I have an operating system
Imagine having no automations or widgets and thinking you’re some kind of “smart” anything. Want to see the “live status” of your solar panel output? The probability that you will get a connection error is a coin flip. After 2 or 3 tries or quitting and reopening the app you will be able to see your energy production. Weird for an app that’s just a thin wrapper around their website. Also the scheduling for EV charging is absurdly simplistic. Specify hours on weekdays and weekends you want full charging to happen. Can’t specify how many amps when. Can’t have more than just ONE contiguous set of hours on a weekday and weekend. You can set to “self-consume” but that just goes in steps of 12 amps depending on what your panels are outputting. That is a joke after spending $1,100 on a 48 amp charger that Tesla sells for $450. Edit: Although I emailed the developer 8 business days ago as they requested on my review, there’s been no reply.
It used to work, but now it updates about 2x a day. Not nearly as useful as it used to be when it regularly gave updated information.

Changes to the App have made it difficult (impossible?) to monitor power levels Everything defaults to energy, which is easier for non-techs to understand, but useless in evaluating real-time performance of solar panels, inverters, and complete systems Dollars and KWH are not useful. App needs to display power levels
Love being able to watch the performance of the solar system.
The Live status function seldom connects to the “Gateway”. Which makes the live function tool mostly useless.
This app has lots of really good information and helps me to keep track of how much I’m using compared to how much is being produced but my biggest complaint is that is just too small with no way to expand the text to see it. We need to use magnifying glasses. But that’s just not convenient.
Their app is just as buggy as their solar systems. Wish I had went with a Powerwall.
Why is there advertising for other products in this app? I spent a lot of money on a solar system… It is not ok to advertise to your users with no opt out
Enphase gateway reports data every 15 minutes however insufficient capacity to receive data and processing data keeps graphs from updating for >1 day.

Hands down the most frustrating part is paying thousands for their products to then open their app and be forced to watch an ad before getting to your data. Beyond frustrating. Disgusting behavior by a company to shove more products down your throat. Customer range is limited to 100 days? Why?!? It would be helpful for 75% of their users to see a custom range for their true-up.
For economic reasons I invested in solar panels January 2024. 👎 I was led to believe ( by the solar panels salesman ) my electric bill would drop significantly - it hasn’t. No one can explain the significant disparity between my solar production report and FPL’s. If I knew then what I know now I wouldn’t invest $40,000 in solar panels .
Enphase needs to improve communication between customer and solar installer. We were informed that we need to transition from Sunpower to Enphase as Sunpower is going out of business. Once our gateway was installed, we had to go through a lot of work to figure out why we couldn’t view our panels, as we did on MySunPower. A few months went by before we were finally told that our installer, Capital City Solar, can map our arrays so that we can view them on Enlighten. It Would have been nice to know this in advance.
I bought the solar panels a couple years ago. I have contacted Enphase and they are only available to update my system remotely. As of the 18th I have consistently received notifications that my system is not working properly 15 out of 40 panels are not working properly and the problem is just closed. Also the Green Light Solar LLC has not responded to my request for any assistance from any maintenance or repair technician to assist me with confirming the system is connected properly. I believed that this was a good company as in Texas we have lots of sun and I am trying to do my part. I have had nothing but problems with the system and the installation company and no one is able to help us. As being a wounded warrior veteran family we are on a fixed budget and we were told that the system would work and the company that installed it promised us results. So far we have been getting monthly bills and we are giving back to the grid as we are not happy with this issue. Sutton resident
This app should be linkable to smart home systems
I’ve been using this for 8 years. It’s hot garbage. Usually doesn’t read my panels and when it does, it blunders so intermittently. I usually get frustrated and don’t touch it for months at a time, then I decide to check it and it takes four or five days to upload my data. Seriously. 4 or 5 days!
Both users in our household attempted to reconnect the Gateway to WiFi without success. Followed the instructions in the App. Grrrr
I have to have this to monitor the solar array equipment I purchased from Enphase. This company then uses that position to force me to look at ads before using the app. Blah blah blah free market, buyer beware, should have done your research…there is no way I am going to know these ads existed when making a decision. Not to mention it wouldn’t have changed who I bought my panels and equipment from because it is such a small thing. So what does this despicable company do, they find every nook and kranny of what we will put up with and they shove ads in our faces. I paid $1000s of dollars to this company and it is never enough!

The app is great overall, but for my main use case I want to see the energy produced over each day/week/month. However the left/right arrows on the Energy tab are too tiny and barely responsive. They are also at the top of the screen, which makes it challenging to quickly see trends over time as I tab through the data. I hope the UI can be improved to make this simpler to navigate. Put the arrows closer to the data and/or make the responsive are around the arrows larger please!! Apple Watch app with some options for complications would also be a very welcome addition!

We changed our WiFi password for security reasons not related to Enphase App. We expected our gateway to stop reporting and we expected to have to reset the gateway with our new password. After an hour, standing outside in the cold unsuccessfully trying to get the Gateway to connect to our WiFi, I called the help line and was informed that the new password we created was too long for the app! The new password was 29 characters. We were advised to use a WiFi password no longer than 8 characters. So created a new 8 char PW and the Enphase App got our gateway connected. An App that can’t handle longer passwords is so 1990ish. Please fix this.
Panels aren’t working since the installation and they still want payments don’t get solar on your home unless the company keeps in touch with you about your experience!!
The app has no way to dismiss a warning message.
I have had more trouble getting this app to work than both my teenaged sons. I have loaded and reloaded this app sometimes 2 to 3 times a week because it consistently fails to upload. Every time it fails, I can successfully access the internet form which works just as well and every time. Not sure what value this app has. I only gave it 1 star because it won’t accept a zero.
This app is very informative to the performance of my solar panel system. Emphase has been very responsive to my needs when reconnecting do to my changing router.
I have been using this app past one year it is diligently showing me perfect readings of my solar panels and energy produce consumed and balanced send to grid

You should be able to see everything with full transparency on the landing screen. Battery charged percentage and the exact cause of any errors with directions on how to rectify.
No support for inverter box breaking down with no support to fix the system for 6 months have been paying extremely high electric bills My neighbor has no solar and he pays less than we do with solar??? I need HELP & SUPPORT ASAP!!!!
I am really pleased with the panels, controls and the app. The power company finally got us connected in mid November so we missed a lot of sunlight from the fall. I am really looking forward to spring and summer to see how many electrons we can make. My only issue is the Custom date range in the app. It doesn’t work. I would like to match my billing cycle to see how the app compares to the power company. Please fix.
I’ve had my system installed for a few years now and I recently noticed that my batteries only charged up to 83%. Enphase actually called me up to schedule an appointment to get this fixed. I didn’t notify them. This is extremely rare nowadays. This is quality service at its finest and I’ll tell everybody I know about how great this company is.
We have owned our system since November 2021 and have zero problems. The app is great and is constantly being updated. To date we have produced $21k of electricity at today’s rate. I wish battery prices would come down so we could save even more.
It is so satisfying to see the transformation from being a slave to the electric companies to feeling in control. This app lets me see that in thoughtful and insightful ways. I use it every day!
Error for many days no call back no service no solution
All users relay on your software for meeting their goals of environmental and financial feasibility of their systems. For that simple reason each software version needs to be well tested before releasing. Version 4.00 was a disaster in this regard. Long term running the systems for 25 years is needed with high stability. Please consider to disable the updates and or have a backup for a prior version in case users are left in the dust of upgrades. Thank you
The app doesn’t work and is completely useless. It shows our system has produced zero over the lifetime, and the company has done nothing to fix the known issues.
I paid $30k for my system. Don’t show me ads.
